cHi
Default new Hybrid album?

I'm sure I read on this forum few months ago that Hybrid would be releasing a new album before end of the year. Any news on this? Has it been delayed until next year?

I'm assuming its delayed..it was supposed to be done in September, but I haven't heard that it is finished.

I'm guessing they are putting some finishing touches on it and we might see it in Feb. or something.

That's the Hybrid way. Never expect them to get an album out within three years of the previous one no matter what they say. Sep 09 sounds like a pretty good guesstimate to me (think MSF and ICN were both released around that time of year) As long as it isn't as long as the four years between WA and MSF I dont mind waiting.

That's not just the Hybrid way....the last WOW album came over 4 years ago. Far more overdue than any Hybrid album, especially when you consider the 2-disc mix CD released earlier this year.

Weren't they wrapping up things some time ago? If so... Hybrid, WOW, KiloWatts' ambient album... now that's a promising 2009 for me.

Hybrid's album development is always delayed due to the fact they a) no longer live in the same vicinity as each other. b) are on the road djing quite a lot and c) have scoring commitments and other projects to keep them busy also.

They are making good progress on the new album, and as mentioned John Graham will indeed appear on the new album.

In regards to Way Out West, they have been busy developing live soundsystem shows (the most recent of which was at London's Matter club), and I believe over the course of the last few days have been putting together the final touches of the new WOW album and mixing it down.
